Webinars

Webinars are online training sessions that last 45 to 60 minutes. Each topic stands alone, although you may enjoy participating in a series of related webinars. A learning guide is provided for each Webinar.

Current Topics

Our Webinar topics are carefully selected to support your real estate career. Download our Real Estate Curricula & Real Estate Competencies document, which specifies the general focus of each Webinar.

Available Webinar topics change, from time to time, to ensure that we are providing content of current interest, so check back frequently.

  • Accessible and Adaptable Housing About 1 in 4 households include an individual who requires special accommodations in his/her living space. During this Webinar, you will learn how accessible and adaptable housing differ, common home features that ensure or enhance accessibility, and ways to market your services, should you choose to specialize in this niche market.
  • Adapting to Marketplace Changes First there was a “normal” market, then a “boom” market, then a “down” market. What’s next? In this Webinar, you will learn simple strategies for change-proofing your business, and weathering economic storms.
  • American Architectural Styles Enhance your listings descriptions with your knowledge of the architectural styles that are most common in your marketplace. In this Webinar, you will learn what stylistic features characterize each architectural style, the special appeal of each, and the appropriate terminology to use in your marketing efforts.
  • Enhancing Your Online Presence Sure, you have a website. But is that enough to draw the attention of consumers? This Webinar will recommend several simple, yet effective, measures you can implement, to build your online presence. Be the one that consumers flock to, in your marketplace!
  • Knowledge is Power – Federal Program Update How would you like to be able to offer updated mortgage information to your clients and prospects? Never have to say, “I didn’t know that” again, when it comes to mortgage rules and regulations. On the first Wednesday of every month, join Tom Vanderwell for an overview of the new and changed rules and regulations in mortgage lending. The purpose of this webinar is to keep you, the real estate professional, informed so that you are not surprised by changes that might very well impact your clients and their plans. What’s the latest on condo rules and regulations? Why are Fannie and Freddie not the “final answer” on certain loans any more? As the mortgage world is constantly evolving (even in calmer times), the content will change every month, so we recommend registering for multiple sessions. PLEASE NOTE: This webinar is NOT meant to replace working with a qualified professional mortgage lender, and will focus on what Fannie, Freddie and FHA are doing, not on programs that any particular lender might have in their portfolio.
  • Serving the Seniors Market Today’s Seniors have different expectations than did people of their age, in the past. During this Webinar, you’ll learn the characteristics of this age group, what they are looking for in housing options, how to meet their service expectations, and ways to market your real estate services to this group.
