About Us

Robin Taylor Roth Enterprises

Robin Taylor Roth Enterprises was founded in January 2009 – at a time when economic forecasts were extremely gloomy.  It has been said that a recession is a great time to start a business, and we concur.

There is always a need for skilled real estate professionals, because there are always people seeking to buy or sell residential, commercial, or investment properties.

Similarly, there is always a need for good real estate training and coaching, because there are new people entering the real estate profession – and changing real estate business conditions require retooling.

And so, Robin Taylor Roth Enterprises exists to bring solid, affordable training and coaching services to real estate professionals.

Robin Taylor Roth, President

Robin Taylor RothRobin’s introduction to the fascinating world of real estate occurred when she was a teen.  Her mother was the first female real estate sales associate in the Toronto area, working for A.E. LePage in the ’50s and early ’60s.  Robin served as her personal assistant, with particular responsibility for maintaining the paper-based MLS data for her mother’s territory.  From her mother, Robin learned the value of outstanding customer service that leads to many referrals and much repeat business.

A long-time instructional designer and trainer, Robin has managed the training activities for real estate agents, brokers and managers for Century 21 Real Estate LLC and for Century 21 Canada LP.  She was twice nominated for “Manager of the Year,” by her team members.  A supportive and motivating trainer, Robin loves to help people achieve their dreams.  Her special areas of interest are coaching agents for success and effective online marketing.

Currently, Robin is a REALTOR® with Prudential New Jersey Properties, Moretti Division in South Plainfield, NJ. If you know someone who is moving to or within New Jersey, please contact Robin!

In addition to being a licensed real estate agent in New Jersey, Robin is an Endorsed Educator on Broker Agent Social and a Certified Centra Professional Trainer. She sings with the Summit Chorale, New Jersey’s oldest continuously performing choral group.

Jeff (“BawldGuy”) Brown

Jeff BrownSecond generation real estate professional first licensed in October of 1969. Spent the first seven years listing/selling homes, only to realize my real interest was in the investment side of the business. I became a designated broker and opened Brown & Brown Investment Properties in January of 1977 as the son in the company. Now the father. Completed much training directly from many of the giants of the industry, then in 1980 completed all courses in the CCIM program. Have taught countless private seminars on cash flow analysis, tax deferred exchanges, portfolio analysis, prospecting, and many other subjects.

Bought my first property in 1976. Developed concept of Purposeful Planning in 1984, and first published my blog, BawldGuy Talking, in July of 2006. Was among the very first to be approached to write for BloodhoundBlog upon it’s inception, also in 2006. I take regular folk from today to retirement, never leaving their side. Stopped counting how many tax deferred exchanges executed at roughly 200. Do business in several states with clients from every corner of the country. Based in San Diego, California with our office located in La Mesa, a suburb in the eastern part of the county. I speak at a few conferences a year, sit on a few panels, and am often invited to teach house agents’ investment clients how to obtain their retirement goals.

Tom Vanderwell

Tom VanderwellTom Vanderwell has been in real estate related fields since 1988. For 3½ years, Tom was a REALTOR® at what is now a RE/MAX® franchise in West Michigan. Tom was a mortgage officer for some 20 years. Tom has written mortgages in a variety of settings, from working for what is now part of Chase Bank to a local community bank where he was employee #11.

Tom doesn’t view his job as “selling money.” To Tom, the mortgage lending world is about helping people manage their money, invest in real estate wisely, and navigate the mortgage world in a way that will work well for them. It’s about helping people; it’s not about selling someone something. The perspective makes a huge difference.

Tom has been writing about the mortgage world at Straight Talk About Mortgages and Real Estate for quite a while. He is also one of the authors at Bloodhound Blog and at Mortgages Unzipped. Tom has done guest writing at Blown Mortgage and also at Infectious Greed. In addition to that, Tom has been interviewed by The New York Times and US News and World Report about the mortgage world. Tom has also written a book about the mortgage world, called Straight Talk About Mortgages – How to Survive and Thrive in Today’s New Mortgage World. Tom has been invited to speak in front of many real estate boards and meetings about the state of the mortgage world.

So what is Tom passionate about when he’s not writing, talking about, and helping people with their mortgage and real estate transactions? Tom enjoys spending time with his wife of almost 24 years and their 5 kids. Tom serves on the board of God’s Littlest Angels (the orphanage in Haiti from which they adopted their two youngest kids) and enjoys reading, playing golf, and camping with the family.
